Apron of Love

A couple of months ago I started a new position at work. This meant meeting and working with a whole bunch of new people. This was both exciting and a little bit daunting!
Anyway, I decided to carry on my tradition of making something special for my new people on their birthdays cause that's what I like to do. I decided instead of a card, I would make them a little treat of some kind. I gathered all their birthdays, favourite colours and hobbies and of course their favourite treats so that I could make it a little more personable.
Today's birthday girl loves to bake, and oh my goodness, she is so good at it too!
This is the treat box I came up with for her. I used the stamp set 'Apron of Love' and the coordinating dies. I bet you can guess that she loves the colour purple too right?!
I left this on her desk today so she can find it tomorrow.

Wild About You! - Shadow Box Card and Clipboard

'Animal Outing' was one of the stamp sets I knew I just HAD to get when I first skimmed the Stampin' Up! 2018 Annual Catalog.
It is just too darn cute. There is a totally adorbs Kangaroo with a Koala in it's pouch too that I am yet to play with.

I decided to create a Shadow Box card. Here is my Tutorial if you would like to make one yourself. I love anything 3D and this set worked so well for creating a little scene. The set also has coordinating dies which is where the branches came from.

In this photo, you can see the box inlay part of the card which is 1/2" thick. The card fits perfectly into Stampin' Up!'s acetate boxes for mailing or just to protect them. I would probably use a small bubble wrap envelope too if you are planning to mail one.
Do you see this totally adorbs Designer Series Paper right now? Oh Em Gee. It's the cutest!
I found some really inexpensive MDF clipboards from Walmart and decided to cover them with some DSP. It's also a good way to use up leftover paper you don't know what else to do with.
I had purchased the notepads in bulk from Costco ages ago and was happy to put them to good use.
They can also easily be mailed in a bubblewrap envelope. My customer's received one as a thank you gift for purchasing from me last month.

3-D Thursday: Treat Tube Holder with Tutorial

Stampin' Up!s NEW Treat Tubes are just too stinking cute and perfect for Halloween treats.
I made this test tube holder to hold 2 tubes for double the candy and double the fun!
You will see in the tutorial below that I have added an extra piece in the center of the box
to make the tubes more stable so they don't tip over.
Thanks to hubby for pointing that out on the first one I made!

Ok. Ready for the tutorial?

Materials:
Cardstock - Pumpkin Pie: 1 piece cut at 8 3/4" x 4 3/4" and 1 piece cut at 2" x 3 1/2".
Basic Black: 1 piece cut at 2" x 1 1/2"
Very Vanilla: 1 piece cut at 1 7/8" x 1 3/8'
Designer Series Paper: 1 piece cut at 2 1/4" x 1 3/4"

Take the piece of  8 3/4" x 4 3/4" piece Pumpkin Pie card stock and score at
1/2", 1 5/8", 3 5/8" and 4 3/4" along the longest side.
Turn card stock 90 degrees and score at 1 1/8" and 3 5/8" along the short side.
Move your card stock back in the original position and score at 6 3/4" along the long side but do not score through the center section as shown in picture below.

Your scored areas should look like the piece in the photo above.

Cut away the areas as shown in the above photo.

Next. Take the smaller piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock measured at 2" x 3 1/2" and score 1/2" on all sides. Cut along the solid lines.

Using a 3/4" circle punch, punch the areas as shown in both pieces of the Pumpkin Pie card stock.
I punched circles out of a piece of Post it note so that I could space out and line up my punches.

Your 2 pieces of Pumpkin Pie should now look like the photo above.

Take the smaller piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock and adhere tear away tape as shown.

Adhere tabs as shown in above photo.

Fold along score lines as shown in above photo.

Apply Tear Away tape to middle tabs.

Adhere as shown. This will make the bottom of your box.

Add Tear Away tape to 2 outside edges.

Adhere into the bottom of the box. This extra piece will help your
treat tubes remain more stable.

Apply Tear Away tape to 2 last side tabs.

Adhere to side walls.

Fold up side flaps and adhere.

For the outside, you will need the Basic Black, Very Vanilla card stock and Designer Series Paper mentioned above as well as any decorative ribbon. I used Vintage Crochet Trim.

Add stamped design. Fill treat tubes with candy. Tie lace or ribbon around cork stoppers.
Add your tubes to the box and you are all done!

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek - Christmas Quilt Bundle

Oh-Em-Gee! I am in LOVE with this new bundle. The Christmas Quilt bundle is straight out of the NEW Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog which will be available September 1st, 2017.
One of my most favorite things as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is being able to get my hands on the new stuff early.
This bundle is seriously amazing. I have only just begun to play around with it so you can be sure I will be posting more. I wanted to start out with some non - Christmas papers and colors to begin with which is another reason why I love it so much. You could use it all year round. The stamp set is just as fun as the framelit dies. Did you see the little needle there on the side? Yep. A framelit! So super cute.

Mermaid Shaker Card

Isn't this little mermaid the sweetest?! She is from the set 'Message in a Bottle'. I thought she would be fun to pop in a shaker card as I had a friend request a birthday card for her niece.
The iridescent sequins worked perfectly! I added a little wink of stella glitter to her tail but it's a little tricky to see in the photo.

Beautiful Bouquet

I am ashamed to say I have had this set for what seems like, quite a while.
I knew I love it, but all the stamps and pieces were a little overwhelming to begin with.
Not to mention the choice of colour combos. I love how it turned out though.
It's such a sweet bundle that I know I will get a lot of use out of.

Moon Baby - Baby Shower Card

I'm off to a friends Baby Shower next weekend.
She's having a girl hence the pink onesie.
I had to change the dimensions of my card in a box template
to accommodate for the size of the stamp.
I think my friend will love it.
