Come join me on Facebook.

Good golly. By looking at my blog you would think I don't stamp very often. So not true..LOL. Working a full time job sometimes doesn't leave me with a lot of time to keep my blogs up to date. I will usually at least post stuff to my Facebook page so if you would like to check out things there I would love you to 'Like' my page. Just click HERE

Baby Shower Favours

My sister's baby shower is next month and I offered to make her baby shower favours for her since I won't be able to make it as she lives in Australia and I am in the U.S. Oh who am I kidding, I would have made them for her if I lived in Australia too. hehe. So the past weekend was spent working on different designs to see what I liked and was going to work best for time and what not. My sister wanted a Jungle theme to match her nursery and seeing she doesnt want to know the sex of the baby until 'birth day' I had to stick with 'safe' colours.
Here is what I came up with.

Number 1.
It's made using the milk carton die. Just cut 2 and cut off the end panel so each piece has 3 panels and the edge tab. Then just stick the panels together. Tape up the bottom, cut holes in the top and tread ribbon through the top and tie. (Thinking I may need to add a tutorial for this one as there are some little tricks I used that helped with sticking it together)
I really liked it but figured out it was going to be way too time consuming to make 20!
Back to the drawing board.

Number 2.
I found this really cute tutorial for this box HERE at Julie Davisons blog. Thanks Julie!
I remembered I had this cute little monkey from a retired set I had called 'Monkey Business'.
I thought this one was pretty cute but there was one more I had just been itching to try.

Number 3.
Ok. Now tell me this isn't stinkin' cute! I found this fantastic pattern and tutorial HERE by Kim Prince.
I added a velcro dot to the strap so it would be easier to fill with lollies/candy as I will be shipping them to my sister and she will do that part. As a last minute decision I decided to use my paper piercer and punch little holes around the edge and use a marker to create the faux stitching. I am thrilled how it turned out and so did my sister. And it didn't take as long to make as I thought it would. So if you hadn't guessed yet, this one is our WINNER!
Now I just need to make at least another 19...

If anyone is interested in more details on additional tutorials for these or anything on my site, please let me know. I know I get slack about those sometimes.

Whitewash Secret Garden

Inspiration for this card came from THIS site which provided the instructions on how to make a Z-Folded card. The base is made from Crumb Cake, folded as directed by the tutorial. I cut 1 1/2" off the edge to make room for the border and additional stamping. I used Crumb Cake ink to randomly stamp on the left side. I made the stitch marks by piercing the cardstock with my paper piercer and then joined the dots with an Espresso Marker. Then I added some Rose Red seam binding and Antique brad. The flower on the inside was coloured with the Whitewash Technique which I described back in THIS post. I used Rose Red ink to match the seam binding. And there you have it. :)

Stamp Camp Christmas Projects

CHRISTMAS MINI TREAT TOTE

This was the treat box I made for my Stamp Camp members. Thanks to Dawn Olchefske for the tutorial for the box. Click HERE for her video tutorial.

Before adhering the box together you will want to stamp and colour your box

Stamp your design in versamark and then heat emboss with white detail embossing powder.

Use white craft ink with your aqua painter or use a small paintbrush. Mix the ink with a little water. Paint the design completely and let to dry.

Using a blender pen and ink, paint over the whitewashed parts shading as desired. You can either use a teeny bit of ink from a reinker or smooch some ink from your inkpad into the lid of your stamp pad.
Use a soft cloth or dry baby wipe to wipe any ink off the embossed lines.
                                          Voilà!

And here is the card we made. The stamp set 'Joyful Christmas' was used for both these projects.

Zoo Babies for a baby shower

I know. Here I go with the Milk Carton die again. But it's so cute! Actually these were made for a special order for a baby shower. The little monkey is from the stamp set 'Zoo Babies'. I ran out of my other cute clips so I had to use these ones that I think I found at an office supply place. I've had them for a while. I used 'Pool Party' and retired 'Bashful Blue' cardstock

Happy 4th Criss-Cross Treat Box

I love these design of the Criss-Cross Treat Box. It's so versatile!
It was painful waiting for my Stampin' Up! order to be delivered so I could make this one. It had been stuck in my head for days. lol

Of course if looks better with candy. :)

Secret Yummy Garden

I can't believe it took me this long to buy the stamp set 'Secret Garden'. The possibilities with this set seem endless! But I think my most favourite thing in the new catalog isn't a stamp set. It's the magnetic platform to use with the big shot and the Framelit and Edgelit dies. Because the are metal they stay in perfect place as you roll them through your big shot. It's soooo nice!
This is the card I made that was inspired by Becky Jensen. I changed the colours up a little and changed a couple things. The colours I used were Calypso Coral and NEW in colour Crisp Cantaloupe. They are so pretty together. You can see Becky's original card HERE.

YAY! for Stamps and Product from the NEW Catalog

New stamps are always fun but stamping about Coffee seems to make it even MORE fun!
Here are a few projects I have made over the last couple days.
The stamp set used here is 'Perfect Blend'.  I will be back later to fill in some of the details.

Embossed Gift Card Wallet

I made this wallet a couple weeks ago as a gift for one of the Medical Assistants at a doctors office I go to. I wanted to thank her for all the awesome things she does.
The outside is embossed and the inside is faux stitched complete with a clear window just like a real wallet!
Thanks to Marnie Reiske for the inspiration.

More Mini Milk Cartons..

Yes. I think I have an addition to these cute little guys. They are so fun and so versatile! I just received the stamp set 'Oh, Whale' and had this wonderful brain wave that the 'wave' stamp would make awesome shingles for my little roof. I am sure I am not the first one to come up with it but I was quite chuffed with myself..lol. I used the mitten punch to make the flowers trimming off one petal off to make them a little smaller. Now they just need candy!
