3-D Thursday NEW Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek - Sweet Home Bundle

Are you all excited for the new Holiday Catalog yet?
September 1st is just around the corner! Here is another Sneak Peek to drool over in the mean time.
I made this house for my friend who just bought her own house so I had to make sure to match her house colours! Its made from the new set 'Sweet Home' with the coordinating Thinlit die set 'Home Sweet Home'. So much fun!! You could make this just as a little decor item or add candy/lollies to the inside for a gift. There is also Halloween, Christmas, and even a dog house theme included.
And of course, you could always just make a card if you wanted to.
*I used the Tree Builder punch for the flower box.*

NEW Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek - Jar of Cheer

Oh my goodness! I love this set. Already being a huge lover of the 'Jar of Love' set, it was easy to fall in love with 'Jar of Cheer' which of course coordinates perfectly.
It's hard to see in the photos, but the candy is stamped with versamark and then embossed with the new red glitter embossing powder which will also be available in the NEW Holiday catalog available September 1st. I popped a few of the candy pieces onto Dimensionals and then left others to roll around in the jar freely.

3D Thursday - Seaside Shore Double Z Fold Card

I'm sorry to anyone following my blog who is getting tired of all my Z-Fold cards.
LOL They are just so card cute and fun to make. I just can't stop!
I was asked by a friend to make a card with an aquarium like theme. I think this worked well.
What do you think?

NEW Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek - Part One

I love this time of year. I mean I love Summer but I really LOVE when the NEW Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog comes out. I think it's one of my favourite perks about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, getting to see and order new product before it's released yet.
And the new Holiday Catalog did not disappoint.

My first order from the new catty just arrived on Friday. As you can imagine, I have been having a glorious weekend creating so I could share a few with you.

The first couple cards I made from the super adorable set 'Glamper Greetings'. There are so, so many wonderful cards and themes to be made from this set. From Christmas to Halloween to Thanksgiving to a simple Hello. Definitely more to come from this one.

Did you check out my little ribbon curtains?

A Shaker Card made with the new sequins! Soft Sky, Sweet Sugarplum and White Gold.

I love this set. It's called 'Wonder of Christmas'. Anyone who knows me, knows I am not the best colorer if that's a word. I do however love to paper piece and that's exactly what I did with this one. Designer Series Paper is new in the catalog. I used Wink of Stella on her wings to give her a bit of sparkle and I popped her up with a few dimensionals.

More to come...

3D Thursday - Always an Adventure Double Z Fold card

Oh my gosh. Whoever had the most wonderful idea of adding the extra layers in the Double Z Fold card... I love you! Such a great idea. It's like a Card in a Box and a Double Z Fold Card had a baby!
I am totally in love with this style card right now. This design folds flat just like the Card in a Box and Double Z Fold cards do. I know I haven't posted a tutorial in a while, but if anyone is ever interested on how I have made something, please just ask. I would be happy to get something together.

3D Thursday - Seaside Shore Card in a Box

I'm having so much fun with the stamp set 'Seaside Shore'. I love the coordinating Designer Series Paper. It makes it so easy to put a card together and offer inspiration of colours. And yes. I am a fussy cutter. It works well for me as I am not an expert in colouring. ha.

A Foxy Birthday

Don't you love this set?! These guys are so cute.
You can make ALL kinds of fun little critters. From foxes, to racoons, to cats.
This list goes on and on.
To start out though, here is one I made with a fox. Pretty, nice and simple. Fox is stamped and punched and adhered to the card on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Always an Adventure Card in a Box

I call this one 'My Oregon Card'. It seems to suit. A mix of camping and wildlife plus the gorgeous scenery of trees and mountains.
I used the stamp set 'Always an Adventure' with the coordinating dies made into a 'Card in a Box'. I seriously love these things. I may have a slight addiction for 3D cards. The 'Happy Birthday' at the bottom is from the set 'Number of Years'. I used 'Shimmery White' card stock for the snow on the mountains to give it a bit of a glisten.

Fun Fold Birthday Fiesta Card

How fun is this card fold?! I love it! You start with a 8"x8" piece of cardstock and with some scoring and strategic folding, you end up with this. Finished card size is 4"x4".

ANOTHER Always an Adventure Shadow Box

So. I am kinda in love with these Shadow Boxes right now. I found a new tutorial which I think I like better. There is more depth between the layers, the layers sit flatter and I kinda like the graduating colours of the foreground to background on the frames. The background sky that you see is found in the new Designer Series Paper pack Serene Scenery which works perfect for this project. Here is the awesome tutorial I found if you would like to try it for yourself.

3-D Thursday: Always an Adventure Shadow Box Card

Have you ever seen a stamp set and immediately knew what card you wanted to make first with it?
That was me with this one. I had been checking out tutorials for quite sometime in eager anticipation of finding the perfect stamp set that would. I have seen these cards called many things: Shadowbox card, Tunnel Card and a type of Diorama Card.
Whatever the correct name for them, I love them and much easier to make than you would think! There are 4 layers including the background with images connected to each layer for an awesome 3D effect.
The stamp set 'Always an Adventure' has wonderful coordinating dies and if I can get some time to get around to it, I might have to make a tutorial.

Love and Affection Bakers Box

As you can probably tell, I am loving this new stamp set. 'Love and Affection' is so versatile. If you look through my recent blog entries, you you will see different cards and projects I have already made with this great set. I created this little box filled with candy as a gift to those who attended my recent Open House event to launch the new Catalog.

Love and Affection Double Z-Fold Card

Remember the Double-Z Fold card we made back on one of my previous posts found HERE? I wanted to make one with the set 'Love and Affection' using the coordinating Designer Series Paper.
I love the clean look of this card. Simple yet elegant, don't you think?

3D Thursday - Card in a Box

My uncle in Australia is turning 70 towards the end of the month so I wanted to make him a cool card because 70, that's a big deal! Sadly if I was to mail it yesterday, I'm not sure it would get to him in time. Better late than never they say.

I found my old tutorial back from a couple years ago HERE

Obviously I wanted to make it look somewhat manly, although I do admit using some 'Wink of Stella' glitter on the balloons. The Designer Series Paper is from the 'Have a Cuppa' paper stack. Other colours used were Whisper White, Basic Grey and Bermuda Bay.

The products I used are listed below. Click on an image to be taken directly to my Online store for ordering.

Off to the Post Office I go to give this guy wings. Happy 70th Birthday Uncle Barry.

NEW Catalog Sneak Peek #4 - Love and Affection

One thing I love about Stampin' Up! is the ease of making a card and getting things to go together. Ink pads, markers and cardstock all come in the same colours! Boy. That makes life easier. And then, once in a while you get a Stamp Set that has matching Designer Series Paper AND Washi Tape.
This is the case with this wonderful set called 'Love and Affection' which will be available in the NEW Catalog June 1st.

NEW Catalog Sneak Peek #3 - Hostess Set: Pun Intended

I made this card today from one of the NEW Hostess Sets available in the new catalog June 1st.
It's called 'Pun Intended'. I love this old Retro looking camera in this set.

NEW Catalog Sneak Peek #2 - Painter's Palette

I love this set, however I admit that it took some playing around until I made a card that I was truly happy with. It happens sometimes. Somedays creativity and inspiration overflows and other days.... Nothing. Ha. I am happy with this one though. I think the side step card helps to really show off the easel.
For this card I teamed up NEW set 'Painter's Palette' with 'Work of Art' featuring NEW In Color 'Sweet Sugarplum'.

NEW Catalog Sneak Peek #1 - Perfectly Wrapped

I love many things about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator but being able to pre-order new product has got to be one of my favourites.
Here are a couple cards from the new set 'Perfectly Wrapped'. And yes! Both cards feature NEW In Colours. Pretty aren't they? The NEW Catalog launches June 1st.

Z Fold Card with a Floating Strip

How fun is this fold?! I love the floating strip. It just adds a little extra.
It's also a quick and simple fold and you can make the card as simple or intricate as you like.
Today I was playing around with the set 'A Grateful Bunch'. I thought these could make for some good Mother's Day cards. Pssst. It's Mother's Day next weekend.

To make this fold all you need is a card base. 11" X 4 1/4" scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".
Floating strip is 11" x 1' scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".
The card folds flat and fits perfectly into a size A2 envelope, Easy right?!

Inchies Card - Love you sew

The Hostess Set 'Love you sew' is perfect for an 'Inchie Card'.
It would make a great Mother's Day card or maybe even a 'Just Because' card.
No crazy techniques here. Just a simple, fun card.

Mini Gable Easter Box

This mini Gable Box all started from the tutorial found HERE on SplitCoastStampers.
I followed the directions to make one, pretty soon realizing it was going to be way too big for what I had imagined. So, I down scaled it a bit, and this is the end result.

Happy Easter!

Easter Baker's Box

This little Easter treat box was made from Stampin' Up!s Baker's Box Thinlit Die. The Easter Lamb stamp is just too cute! I used the 'Hardwood' background stamp on the box itself on Soft Sky cardstock using Soft Sky ink. I then stamped the lamb on Smoky Slate cardstock with Black Archival ink and then used a brush dipped in White Craft ink (mixed with a little water) to colour in the lambs wool. I used Fringe Scissors to cut the grass and white bakers twine to make the little bow.
Fill with little Easter eggs or candy and you are good to go.

Cuppa Time!

I love the name of this set - A Nice Cuppa. You don't hear the term 'Cuppa' much in the States. We use it all the time in Australia though. Basically it means any kind of hot beverage. Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate. A cup of ...(cuppa). "Would you like a Cuppa?" *Grins*

I used a few different sets to complete this card. They work so well together. Not forgetting the Cups and Kettle Framelit dies.

Beautiful Ride

I am having SO much fun with this stamp set as you can probably tell.

'Beautiful Ride' is so versatile. That's one thing I really look at before ordering a stamp set. I want to feel that I am going to get a lot of use out of it before I order.

I found a fun tutorial for making a tie dye background using white filter paper and ink refillers. Worked a treat for this card.

Nothing crazy difficult about these next cards. Just a bit of fussy cutting.

Birthday Blooms

Yay for the NEW Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration starting today!

Isn't this set pretty? It's called Birthday Blooms. I coloured it with my own Colouring pencils my wonderful husband bought me for Christmas, but you could watercolour it, paper piece it, use ink with blender pens, emboss it.
Lots of fun ideas!
