Always an Adventure Card in a Box

I call this one 'My Oregon Card'. It seems to suit. A mix of camping and wildlife plus the gorgeous scenery of trees and mountains.
I used the stamp set 'Always an Adventure' with the coordinating dies made into a 'Card in a Box'. I seriously love these things. I may have a slight addiction for 3D cards. The 'Happy Birthday' at the bottom is from the set 'Number of Years'. I used 'Shimmery White' card stock for the snow on the mountains to give it a bit of a glisten.

Fun Fold Birthday Fiesta Card

How fun is this card fold?! I love it! You start with a 8"x8" piece of cardstock and with some scoring and strategic folding, you end up with this. Finished card size is 4"x4".

ANOTHER Always an Adventure Shadow Box

So. I am kinda in love with these Shadow Boxes right now. I found a new tutorial which I think I like better. There is more depth between the layers, the layers sit flatter and I kinda like the graduating colours of the foreground to background on the frames. The background sky that you see is found in the new Designer Series Paper pack Serene Scenery which works perfect for this project. Here is the awesome tutorial I found if you would like to try it for yourself.

3-D Thursday: Always an Adventure Shadow Box Card

Have you ever seen a stamp set and immediately knew what card you wanted to make first with it?
That was me with this one. I had been checking out tutorials for quite sometime in eager anticipation of finding the perfect stamp set that would. I have seen these cards called many things: Shadowbox card, Tunnel Card and a type of Diorama Card.
Whatever the correct name for them, I love them and much easier to make than you would think! There are 4 layers including the background with images connected to each layer for an awesome 3D effect.
The stamp set 'Always an Adventure' has wonderful coordinating dies and if I can get some time to get around to it, I might have to make a tutorial.

Love and Affection Bakers Box

As you can probably tell, I am loving this new stamp set. 'Love and Affection' is so versatile. If you look through my recent blog entries, you you will see different cards and projects I have already made with this great set. I created this little box filled with candy as a gift to those who attended my recent Open House event to launch the new Catalog.

Love and Affection Double Z-Fold Card

Remember the Double-Z Fold card we made back on one of my previous posts found HERE? I wanted to make one with the set 'Love and Affection' using the coordinating Designer Series Paper.
I love the clean look of this card. Simple yet elegant, don't you think?

3D Thursday - Card in a Box

My uncle in Australia is turning 70 towards the end of the month so I wanted to make him a cool card because 70, that's a big deal! Sadly if I was to mail it yesterday, I'm not sure it would get to him in time. Better late than never they say.

I found my old tutorial back from a couple years ago HERE

Obviously I wanted to make it look somewhat manly, although I do admit using some 'Wink of Stella' glitter on the balloons. The Designer Series Paper is from the 'Have a Cuppa' paper stack. Other colours used were Whisper White, Basic Grey and Bermuda Bay.

The products I used are listed below. Click on an image to be taken directly to my Online store for ordering.

Off to the Post Office I go to give this guy wings. Happy 70th Birthday Uncle Barry.
