Easter Mini Milk Carton Tutorial

These adorable little cartons are made by using the Stampin' Up! Milk Carton Die. I also used the stamp set 'Spring Sampler'. It's a little hard to see from the photo but I also stamped a bunny in the back of the box so you can see him when all the candy is gone.

The base of the milk carton is made using Stampin' Ups Mini Milk Carton Bigz Die for the Big Shot. Item 117310. $32.95.
Other tools and products you will need:
Stamp set: Spring Sampler  Clear Mount $27.95 #125512 or Wood Mount $38.95 #125510

Coloured card stock, Whisper White card stock, 1" circle punch $12.95  #119868, markers or ink pads, ribbon, clear window sheet, paper piercer, bakers twine, library clip, adhesive, dimenstionals. strong hole cutter. eg Cropadile. Sticky note.

Instructions:

Cut out card stock with die and Big Shot. Pre-fold creases. Now you can either guess-timate the placement of the circle punch or if you prefer my method, I like to punch the circle from a Post-it-Note making sure you get some of the sticky part in the circle. So the post it note doesn't get stuck on my punch I stick 2 post it note pages back to back and then punch. Now position your circle.

Using your punch upside down, line up the punch with your post it note guide and punch.

Now if you match up the opposite side of the box (the end with the tab) you will see that some of the card stock will show through your circle when closed. Use a pencil  to outline the overlapping part.

Turn your punch upside down again, using your pencil line as a guide and punch out the selected portion.

Use your paper piercer and mat to punch holes around the circle.

Use markers or ink pads to colour eggs. Stamp on Whisper White card stock and cut out. Cut a small strip of green card stock to fit front of carton and cut fringe for grass. Adhere to box.
Cut a piece of clear window sheet to fit. Adhere to inside of box.

Use strong tape adhesive to tab. Sticky Strip would also be good to use. Adhere box ends together to form box.

Use a library clip to clamp top edge of box and use your Cropadile or strong hole punch to make 2 small holes. Make sure its the side that ISN'T the spout.

Threading your ribbon. Thread both ends of the ribbon from front to back as shown. Thread the bakers twine in the loop so you don't have to try to thread it through once you finish your bow.

From the back of the box, take one end of ribbon and thread it through the opposite hole and pull tight.

Do this again with the other end.

Turn to the front and it should look like this.

Stamp your Spring image onto a piece of Whisper White card stock, punch out with circle punch. Punch hole at the top of the circle. Add Stampin' Dimensional to back of the circle and adhere to the top of the box. Tie the circle tag to the ribbon.

Fill with candy and close with library clip!
