Easter Egg Bunny Box

My Easter project. I have been dying to make this since I ordered the stamp set! Thanks again to Brenda Quintana for the inspiration from her tutorial on how to make these fun boxes. My tutorial closely follows hers, except for sizing and decorating.

To begin you will need 1 piece of cardstock cut at 7 7/8" x 7 7/8" and 4 pieces cut at 2 1/4" x 4 3/8". These will make your box and dividers. I used Wild Wasabi. Cut one other piece of cardstock at 3 1/2" x 7 1/2". Pink Pirouette shown here.

Take the square piece and score at 1 1/8", 2 1/4", 3 3/8", 4 1/2", 5 5/8" and 6 3/4".
Turn 90 degrees and repeat

Your cardstock should now look like this.

Cut the 3 squares off each corner.

Your cardstock should now look like this.

Cut on the 4 lines as shown.

Snip slots. 2 each side about 1/16" wide by cutting down on either side of the score mark and cutting away the little strip.

Fold only the outer 2 score lines on each side. The middle score lines will not be folded.

Place sticky strip or a strong adhesive tape on the outer 3 tabs on each side (12 total). Also place a piece on the square opposite the inner tabs. (4 total)

Remove the tape liner on the four inner tabs. Bring outside tabs in to form a box like so. Bend back the remaining 12 tabs. Put aside.

The dividers. For each of the 2 1/4" x 4 3/8" pieces score at 1 1/8".

Turn 90 degrees and score at 1/2", 1 5/8", 2 3/4" and 3 7/8"

Cut slits in along the score lines on the 2 ends using the same method as earlier. Do this for all 4 pieces.

Fold all 4 pieces along the score line length ways.

Take TWO of the divider pieces and snip HALF WAY up the score line from the RAW edge towards the fold making a 1/16" slot.

Take the other 2 dividers. But this time snip up from the folded edge.

Your pieces should look like this.

Take the 4 strips and interlock like so to form a grid pattern.

Bend the outside tabs along the score line.

Place the grid in the middle of the box.

One tab at a time, remove tape backing and fold tab into the middle of the box to adhere.

Your box should now look like this.

Punch 9 pieces from the Petal Card Punch. You can make them all the same colour or mix and match. Make sure to add pressure to both ends of the punch to ensure that all sides are scored and cut.

Decorate the front of the flaps as desired. I used the Everybunny Stamp set.

Add tape to bottom flap and adhere to bottom edge of each grid compartment.

Continue until all spaces are filled.

Take the 3 /12" x 7 1/2" piece and score at 1 1/2" on one end. Sit finished box on the card and draw a faint line for a guide for decorating.

I used markers and paper piecing to decorate this box and added small brads to each of the drawers using a paper piercer.

I also used a 1 inch strip of Designer Series Paper and adhered it around the top edge and sides of the box. It also helps to disguise the score marks.

Here is one I made for Valentines Day.

Tiny Pennants - oh so cute!

I am sure I am not the one to discover this little idea but I sure was excited that I thought of it at all. So this week is more of a tip than a tutorial. I have had so much fun this afternoon making these little pennants!

First you will need your pennant punch.

Turn it over. I marked mine with a sharpie on each side of the triangle to make it easier to keep them all uniform.

Now just slide in your cardstock or paper up to your mark and punch away.

You will have a pile of triangles in no time!

Here's a couple other ones I made today. You can put a banner pretty much anywhere! I added little pieces of 'Stampin Dimensionals' under the triangles to add some depth
